The HHRS management team is headed by Mr. Rudolph (Randy) DePolo. Randy is a lifetime resident of the Jersey Shore, and brings 15+ years of horse racing management experience to the team. We are a very much a hands-on group and our primary dedication is for the partner's enjoyment of the thoroughbred experience.
Randy was recently re-elected to serve as one of the Board Members of the Thoroughbred Breeders' Association of New Jersey. It is his second term on the board after previously serving as treasurer from 2004 - 2006. His vast experience with local and national issues provide keen insight in his role with Headless Horsemen Racing.
HHRS has been involved in racing partnerships for years with both large and small groups in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. For those of you who are searching for racing partnership opportunities, you have likely encountered bigger names with larger stables of horses. Headless Horsemen prides itself on partnering with like minded individuals, who not only have the same drive and desire to win but ensure our equine athletes have the best care possible. Doug Nunn, who personifies these values, is training a number of the horses in the HHRS stable.
Doug brings 20+ years of horsemanship to our team. His early days were spent riding and exercising horses on the backstretch of Finger Lakes. Eventually after becoming a jockey, Doug turned his attention to conditioning and training in 1992. He has worked with the likes of Hall of Fame inductee William Strange as well as current trainers, Tim Hills and Bruce Levine to name a few. Doug has trained a number of succesful horses including Maryland Million winner Hunca Munca.
Doug is a tremendous asset to HHRS.Unlike many other trainers, Doug personally gets on the back of every horse he trains. Because of his hands-on approach, he is able to identify and correct many issues other trainers just plain miss. Nobody knows their horses better than Doug Nunn.

Tim Hills is a main-stay on the New Jersey/Florida circuit and won training titles in 2002 and 2004. He has been training for 30+ years and teaming up with Headless Horsemen Racing since the late 90's. Tim has guided some of our best horses, like the multi-stakes placed HMS Jackson and stakes winner Dare to Cope.
Tim's honest, hard working, no nonsense approach is valued by our team. When we send horses his way, expect the best, and 2010 will be no different. Tim will be working this year with some of our brightest stars in our stable.
